Sub- or Co-Brand?

Here is branding where the parent (Meta) promotes their so-called child (Instagram) and vice-versa, as opposed to others I have posted (Fresh Direct, Method, Izze — all start-ups purchased by global corporations with no communication of the new owner).

With that said, Instagram is the brand with the equity right now (with Meta only recently created), and can hardly be considered a child.

Incidentally, this is a nice brand refresh for Instagram! And in case you were wondering, the holding shape is called a “squircle,” the cross between a square and a circle.
