EV Charging

New York City is expanding access to electric vehicle charging for drivers without private garages or driveways.
FLO curbside chargers — branded “plugNYC” — turn ordinary streets (like my home-block West 76th Street between Columbus & Amsterdam, shown above) into part of the city’s EV infrastructure — making the transition to electric mobility more practical for urban residents.
The chargers are deployed in collaboration with NYC Department of Transportation (DOT) and Con Edison.
According to AI Overview, there are 88 active plugNYC points with a planned expansion to include 600 more over the next three years.
Kudos to designer Ignacio Ciocchini and the team at Ciocchini Design.
