Lyft Co-Brand

Lyft operates Citi Bike through its mobility division, Lyft Urban Solutions. Lyft entered the bikeshare sector through its acquisition of Motivate in 2018 — the company that operated Citi Bike and several other major U.S. systems — and later expanded globally through the acquisition of PBSC Urban Solutions in Montréal.

Today, Lyft Urban Solutions powers bikeshare and micromobility systems in 57 cities across 16 countries, with more than 185,000 bikes and vehicles deployed worldwide.

The company positions bikesharing as part of a broader shift toward more connected, sustainable, multimodal urban transportation systems — integrating cycling, e-bikes, transit, and shared mobility into the future of city infrastructure.
